Requirements:          Bachelors degree in Engineering plus 0-12 years of directly related experience. Must have experience with the technical digital design implementation of complex, high speed, circuitry and systems. Brief Summary:   
         Researches, designs, develops and tests computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development. Analyzes system requirements to determine adequacy, consistency and realism; and to estimate the feasibility of design within cost and schedules constraints. Formulates and designs software systems, including critical real-time systems, using empirical methods, scientific analysis and/or mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequence of design. Consults with Hardware Engineers and other Engineering staff to evaluate the interface between hardware and software, and the operational and performance requirements of overall systems.

Requirements:            Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science plus 0-12 years of directly related experience. The ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental specifications is required. Must have experience with software architecture design and test. Must be able to generate code to requirements. Experience in C, C++, and UML. Must have knowledge of real time operating systems, CMMI, and team oriented design. Desired experience includes Object oriented design and GUI development. Must have a background that would permit the issuance of a Security clearance, which includes US citizenship.

This position is responsible for the entire life cycle design and meeting the technical requirements of the project. Systems engineers are responsible for the following areas: Development of Systems Requirements and parsing them out to the individual disciplines, Development of Overall System architecture, Radar/IFF Mode Design, Performance Analysis using tools such as Matlab, System Design Definition and Documentation, Participating in staff design reviews insuring that supporting disciplines meet system requirements, Generation of Test and Integration methodology and documentation, Customer Interface, and Field Testing.

Position Schedule: Full Time


Job Responsibilities

Individual to be part of a Government, Prime and Support Contractor team that provides sustainment engineering support to the GMD-fielded operational components.

Tasks include:

Provide leadership in coordinating a diverse team

Provide operational support to the fielded components, performing trade studies and analyses and directing on-site support to maintain the system at a high operational capability

Perform programmatic and management functions

Coordinate with the Warfighter, Prime contractor, and other Government agencies to achieve overall operational mission objectives

Lead a diverse team to support and sustain operational availability; translate operational requirements into supporting individual components; define and analyze metrics; coordinate requirements with sustainment personnel; develop status briefings; support major reviews, briefings, and periodic status reports; and assist in resolving critical issues

Defense Talent Network - Electrical Engineer - EW Analyst

 
Among the responsibilities of this position will include attending program meetings as required and maintaining liaisons with individual JCTD program management teams, conducting program personnel interviews as required, documenting results for incorporation into overall program vulnerability analyses, and assisting in writing overall program vulnerability analyses reports. This position will be a key contributor to briefs and briefing materials, trip reports, and other information required to manage and coordinate completion of JCTD vulnerability analyses as well as assisting in briefings and roundtable discussions of Information Operations (IO) as required. Candidate will also contribute to demonstrating exploitable EW vulnerabilities a potential third world adversary may employ with the use of open source, commercial-off-the-shelf equipment, techniques, and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and a resident of the San Antonio area (or willing to relocate). Candidate must possess a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field and 5+ years of experience. Candidate must possess at least Top Secret clearance and be eligible for SCI.
Candidates with experience performing EW analysis on weapon systems will be preferred.
