RESPONSIBILITIES

-- The GM will have overall operations responsibility for all Federal
Communications programs and projects.

performance to annual budgets and plans, oversight and direct participation in
key business development efforts, management of high level customer
relationships and successful on-time delivery of services, i.e., overall
customer satisfaction.
-- This division provides Federal Government customers with Net Centric warfare
and Tactical Command and Control.
-- The GM leads the company's ongoing efforts to stay abreast of emerging
communications technologies in the federal communications market.
-- He or she also serves as a member of the corporate Federal Systems Management
team and participates actively in Federal communications strategy development
and implementation.
-- In addition insures compliance with Federal contracting regulations, company
ethics policies.

Description:
Responsible for the system level security design of military communications
systems and products. In this position you will be expected to:
-- Work with customers to understand program requirements
-- Analyze program requirements (functional, security, electrical, software)
to determine required security architecture and high level design
-- Work with detailed design team to refine the design approach consistent
with acceptable security practices and program cost and schedule constraints
-- End products may range from large communications systems to individual

Experience:

Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Business Development Manager for Tactical
Communications will be establishing and maintaining positive business relations
with various user and procurement personnel within the National Guard.
Additionally backing up other Business Development Managers for target areas.
Will provide input to the Thales Communications, Inc. forecast with regard to
the above stated opportunities.

Qualifications :
Requirements for this position are a Bachelor of Science in either a business
or technical field, familiarity with budgeting and requirements generation
process within the US DoD and have a demonstrated ability to be successful in
achieving objectives with minimum management oversight.

Prior experience in an aligned business area or similar company with contact
network experience highly desired.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Engineering or Business
Administration.

Five (5) years of industry experience in the National Guard Business
Development Tactical Communications Technology Systems desired.

U.S. Citizenship required. The applicant selected may be subject to a
government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for
access to classified information.

Seeking a highly motivated individual to function as part of an engineering
team to support the U.S. Navy and Joint Services analysis of future
communications networks implementation, including the fielding of a software
defined radio (SDR) system. Must be a proven self-starter with an ability to
interact effectively with senior military, industry, and allied/coalition
partners.

Tasking:
--Perform detailed comparison of current Army, Navy and Air Force
communications gateway programs to satisfy future Joint communications
performance requirements.
--Provide recommendations regarding Joint communications networking and
interoperability requirements, systems, architectures, and communications
--Perform systems engineering analysis for evolution of Joint communications
networking requirements, including potential applications to Homeland Security
implementations
--Prepare technical reports and briefings

Education: An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in
a technical or analytical field is required. Significant (10 years plus) work
experience in military communications networks, technical operations and/or
military communications system design may be substituted for the undergraduate
degree.

Experience/Knowledge.
--5-10 years experience in U.S. military communications networks including
Tactical Data Links, voice, and digital data exchange required.
--Experience with U.S. Navy Automated Digital Network System (ADNS), U.S.
Army Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T) and/or U.S. Air Force
Objective Gateway programs is highly desirable.
--Project/test planning experience is highly desirable.
--Working knowledge of Software Communications Architecture (SCA) and
Software Defined Radios a major plus.
--Excellent communication skills (written and oral) required. MS Word,
PowerPoint, Excel, and Project expertise is highly desirable.
--Must be able to obtain a Secret Security clearance.

Travel: Independent CONUS and OUTCONUS travel required.
